Imagine waking up to a sunrise over the creek, heading next door to the bakery for breakfast, walking or cycling along new sidewalks to Lighthouse Beach for a day in the sun, and then coming back to the Hidden Gem to rinse off sand and grille some dinner.

About the property:
The OBX Hidden Gem is the ideal place for nature lovers or a enormous family vacation! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit offers family-sized living all on one floor. Located a short walk away from the beach, trails, eateries, bakeries, grocery stores, ice cream stores, mini golf, and more, and in driving distance of all the tourist destinations the Outer Banks has to offer.

When you arrive, you’ll immediately notice how private and peaceful the setting is, with a creek flowing right next to the home and island greenery on all sides. Our ample parking space can accommodate multiple cars. We have an outdoor shower and “boardwalk” area in the front to help rinse off sand after a beach trip. Unwind on our cavernous deck with a charming waterfront view of Cape Creek, plenty of seating, and a new grille. Keep an eye out for local wildlife like herons! Connected to the deck is our completely-screened wraparound porch, where you can continue appreciating the outdoors without any pestering bugs.

Indoors, experience comfortable island living. You don’t have to worry about summer heat because this home is designed for staying cool, with fans and efficient AC units in every room. Our spacious kitchen is equipped with all the dishes and appliances you need and is ready for meals at home. The open-concept dining area is located between the kitchen and living room, with huge glass sliding doors providing a delightful view and painless access to the deck. The living room has plenty of seating and a futon that can function as an additional bed if needed. It’s also supplied with entertainment including TV, board games, books, and magazines.

The master bedroom is roomy and comes with a queen bed, a 40” TV, an attached master bathroom, and a sizable walk-in closet. The second bedroom is ideal for kids and has summer camp vibes, with two bunk beds, 4 twin beds, and optional RGB lighting. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a spacious closet.

Guest Access:
Self check-in with keypad entry, parking in front. Guests have access to the whole lower floor unit, porch, and deck to themselves. The backyard and upper unit are off-limits.

PLEASE NOTE: The upper unit is occupied. Please be respectful and keep noise to reasonable levels during your stay. The upstairs occupant uses the stairs on the side of the home by the deck to access the upper unit.

Other Notes:
• No family pets allowed
• No smoking on the premises, please
• The bunk beds are designed for kids. Weight limit 150 lbs for the top bunk beds
• This home uses a septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper
• Our towels are stringently for indoor use only. Bring your own beach towels!
• For the best island experience, we recommend bringing sunscreen and bug repellent
• The road to the home is a bit rough, unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that because it’s a municipal road. Drive slowly and you will be fine
• The road to the home passes by a commercial lot. They are not allowed to block the road - if they do, ask them to move their car and report the incident to us
