This gorgeously refreshed and decorated home offers a roomy, light-filled sanctuary ideal for your next vacation. The home features three sizable bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, two comfortable living areas, a dining room, and a completely-equipped kitchen designed for those who appreciate to prepare.
I grew up on this end of Roanoke Island, the North End as we would say. There is a bicycle path that runs along 64 making the north end a great place to run, walk and bicycle. The street the home is on leads to the water and some great vistas of the sound.

Five homes down on the right is a public sound side area, great for picnics. Please park in front of the sign, there is a residence attached, be courteous.
Feel complimentary to launch kayaks or paddle boards from this area.
Downtown Manteo now has more to offer than ever. Nightly Movie, Eateries, Sandwich Stores, Bars and Hangouts, Public Parking, Coffee Stores, Distillery, Brewery, Gift Stores, Clothes Stores, Art Gallery, Summer Time Concerts, Blue Grass Festival Dolphin Tours, Pirate Tours, Sunset Tours, Charter Fishing, A play ground on the waterfront by the gazebo, fishing from the public docks. We have parking on the beach road at the Dunes Restaurant close to two Beach accesses. There is also a wash down for all your gear before putting it back in the car.

The primary king bedroom is tucked away for privacy and includes an on-site laundry area. All beds in the home boast top-quality beds to ensure a restful nighttime's sleep. High-quality linens, towels, and essential toiletries are included for your convenience. Two additional bedrooms, one king and one queen, share a bathroom and are located on the opposite side of the home from the primary bedroom.

Outside, the humongous, private backyard invites you to relax with a drink under the afternoon shade, savoring the calming modest-town ambiance. Grille some fresh, local tuna caught in the Gulf Stream, and later, appreciate a movie or live music at The Pioneer Theatre, the country's oldest family-run theater (1918-2022).

Rent bicycles to ride downtown, discover Festival Park, and savor the spectacular bicycle path. Walk along the docks of downtown Manteo, where you'll find vibrant stores and eateries. A short drive will take you to the beach, and the property includes a shed for storing all your beach chairs, umbrellas, and bicycles. The location also offers simple access to local attractions like the Wright Brothers National Memorial and America's longest-running outdoor drama, The Lost Colony.

Our family's heritage in Manteo dates back to the 1800s, with roots as lighthouse keepers. My father even worked on the historic Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse on the Manteo waterfront.
