In the evenings, walk along the boardwalk and out to the boat docks where you'll find a front-row seat for watching the spectacular sunsets. You won't have to go far for great food and drinks, since the waterfront restaurant Stripers Bar and Grille is conveniently located on-site.

Be sure to set aside a day or two to discover Downtown Manteo, really a hidden gem of the Outer Banks. Browse an eclectic array of unique, locally owned businesses including stores, galleries and eateries.
