In addition to its beautiful beaches, the village of Corolla is also best-known for some of its four-legged inhabitants: the herd of wild horses that have roamed along the sand dunes and salt marshes for centuries. Take a 10-min. drive to the north to access the four-wheel-drive area, where you can embark on an adventure in search of the wild horses of Corolla—or tag along on a trip with a local tour guide who is familiar with all of the horses' whereabouts.
