Here at the Bonita Street beach access, you'll also find an in-season lifeguard station, so you can rest assured that your family and friends are safe during your day of fun in the sun.

In addition to its handsome beaches, the village of Corolla is also best-known for some of its four-legged inhabitants: the herd of wild horses that have roamed along the sand dunes and salt marshes for centuries. Take a 10-min. drive to the north to access the four-wheel-drive area, where you can embark on an adventure in search of the wild horses of Corolla—or tag along on a trip with a local tour guide who is familiar with all of the horses' whereabouts. A variety of other Outer Banks attractions are also located within mins. of Carolina Sunset, including the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the historic Whalehead Club—both of which are just three miles up the street.
