The Neighborhood:

This home has deeded beach access that is a short walk from the home, but there is no parking there. Duck does not have any public beaches. There are many public beaches within a short drive that offer complimentary beach parking. You will need to cross Rt. 12 in order to walk to the beach. We are located on the west side of 12.



The Salty Duck is located in the beautiful town of Duck, NC. From the home, it is just a short walk over to the sound where you can savor beautiful sunsets, as well as a fast walk or drive across to the beach! You are just a short drive to Duck village which includes extraordinary shopping, eateries, coffee stores, yoga, and attractions.

After booking your stay with us, we kindly ask our guests to complete a rental agreement. This is a standard procedure designed to ensure a smooth and fun experience for all events involved in renting homes in North Carolina. When signing the rental agreement, you are agreeing to share this agreement and the home rules with all events that will be on the property during your stay. This rental agreement applies to "everybody" staying or visiting the property. If you are booking on Airbnb, you will receive a link to the rental agreement in the Airbnb app.



Guest Verification with Truvi

To protect our homes and enhance your tranquility of mind, Sojourn partners with Truvi, a third-event guest verification platform. You’ll receive a direct message from Truvi to complete your verification. Please complete this step before check-in. Visit Truvi’s website to learn more.



Trust & Safety Fee

Our company applies a single, nonrefundable fee for a Safely Protection Policy. We do not collect a security deposit. A Safely Protection Policy (short-term rental insurance) ensures that the guest, the home and its contents are protected during the stay.



Property Access & Maintenance

From time to time, our homes may require preventative or emergency maintenance. While we make every effort to avoid any interruptions to your stay, Sojourn reserves the right to access the property after providing 24 hours’ written notice. Your comfort is our priority, and we enjoy your understanding.



Security Cameras

All of our homes have exterior security cameras for the safety and security of our guests. Exterior cameras are pointed at areas of ingress and egress from the home. This home has one camera overlooking the front door.



No Parties/Events

We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its condition for future guests and your return visits. We do not accept reservations from individuals under the age of 25, especially for high school or college events.



Not a Pet-Friendly Home

We adore those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. Should you bring family pets without obtaining prior permission from the host, there will be a $400 infraction fee, and your stay will be subject to cancellation with no refund and an expedited eviction.
