One of our most fashionable cottages, it is nearly surrounded by the 500 acre Jockey's Ridge State Park Natural Area and only 400 feet from one of the most handsome stretch of sound-shore beach of the entire Outer Banks. Toad Hall is a great location for wind-surfers, kite-boarders, kayakers, hang-gliders, bird-watchers and nature lovers of every variety - or those who simply savor open space. The enormous "dune deck" offers an unparalleled view of Jockey's Ridge State Park. The Sound shore near Toad Hall is a great place for kids to play and for parents to relax. The shallow sound waters don't have the currents and waves of the ocean and we never have "red flag" days! The sound is also superb for sail boats, kayaks, kite boards, paddleboards, or just about any type of personal watercraft. Plus your family pets can appreciate the calm shallow waters. Jockeys Ridge State Park is 500 acres of natural open space preserving the East Coast's highest sand-dune. The dunes offer ample wildlife, spectacular vistas, hang gliding, and kite flying. All that open space makes a excellent and safe playground in the busy summer season.
