"The Mayor's Nest" was designed and constructed by the Keller family in the early 1980s. Paul Keller eventually retired here and was instrumental in establishing Duck as an official town through the North Carolina legislature, culminating in the incorporation of Duck on May 1, 2002. Paul Keller served as the first Mayor. As the third owners, we are working to update the home but preserve the original intent of "Keller's Beach House": to "delight all generations of congenial visitors with its sprawling comfort, cheerful decor, casual ambiance and painless access to Poteskeet's uncrowded private beach.” In addition, guests can walk to the town of Duck with its Soundside Boardwalk, many stores and eateries. This two-level home features a ground level where you'll discover a media room equipped with a huge TV, board games, a couch, loveseat, and a Lovesac. There's also a full-size refrigerator for additional storage, a laundry area with hooks for your beach towels, and a convenient half bath.


Upstairs, the top level features a roomy family room with a sectional, swivel recliner chair, and a intelligent TV. The open-concept design leads you to a kitchen with white cabinetry, granite countertops, an island with seating for two, an undercounter drink refrigerator, coffee bar, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Appreciate meals around the long dining room table and dry bar.

Also on the top level are 4 bedrooms, one being a king bedroom with a private bathroom and three others sharing access to two hall bathrooms. This property offers ample space for a fun-filled family beach hideaway!
