Bead-board walls, tile and granite bathrooms, to the handsomely designed trim work...everything has been restored in the likeness of a true 1940s Outer Banks design!
The space
This home adopted a Capuchin Monkey - Travel with Purpose when you stay with us and assist in global efforts to help save this handsome endangered species!
Guests will have access to the entire two floor home which includes 3 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, a completely outfitted kitchen, living room with TV, laundry room, and wet bar. Unwind on one of the 3 decks or appreciate a good book in the reading room. WIFI, satellite TV, and a blue-tooth stereo are available throughout the home. The home is also centrally located with painless access to Roanoke Island Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, Nags Head Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore entrance. You’ll appreciate this home because of the coziness, the location, and the vistas. The Historic Austin House is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The second story of the home provides an additional bed/bath/kitchenette!

One bath towel and one wash cloth supplied per guest during their stay. The Austin House is made up of two separate and unique spaces: The Historic Austin House (accommodates 6), and Virginia Dare Cottage (accommodates 2). Please inquire with your host if you are interested in renting more then one space!
As our guest you are a member at The Village Beach Club in Nags Head! Opens around Memorial Day until roughly Labor Day.
