The spectacular new North Carolina Aquarium Complex at Jennette's Pier is also only a mile north of The Cork and the very trendy Outer Banks Fishing Pier/ Fish Heads Bar and Grille is a mile south. Bodie Island lighthouse, the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore are only mins. away. A short drive takes you to Roanoke Island and all its attractions including the N.C. Aquarium, Festival Park with its replica of the good ship Elizabeth II, the Lost Colony outdoor drama and Fort Raleigh National Historical Site. You can see, hear and smell the ocean from the home and it's just a few steps away. South Nags Head features a five mile long multi-purpose "super-sidewalk" where visitors can bicycle, jog, or just walk safely away from traffic.
