Fish, kayak or paddle board from the dock, or just savor watching the crabs and rays at low tide. With the supplied beach cart, load up toys and towels and make the fast walk to the wide-open white sand beach for a day in the waves. When you get back, rinse off in the warm water outdoor shower.

You will appreciate the home's bright, modern, open floor plan. The refreshed kitchen, roomy living room, and reading nook all look out on the sound. The west wing of the home is a sizable primary suite with water vistas, and an en-suite bath with double sinks. The east side includes a king bedroom with water vistas and a bedroom with 2 twin XL beds that are comfortable for kids or adults. The east side rooms share a bath and there is a door that closes off the entire east wing from the living room for privacy.

Our home is in a peaceful part of the island with less traffic but only 5 miles from Emerald Isle town center with eateries, shopping, a movie theater, mini golf, post office, and Bogue Inlet Pier. The towns of Swansboro, Morehead City and Beaufort are all painless drives and fun to discover. Hammocks Beach State Park, the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, and Fort Macon, all offer great activities for the whole family. Bring your bicycles and ride the paved path that runs the length of Emerald Isle!
