OBX Box -- Semi Ocean Front w/ Pool and hot tub - Just a Minute to the Beach! - Vacation rental home in Duck, NC

Our beautiful comfortable five bedroom /five bathroom beach home with enormous in-ground pool (un-heated) and hot tub is located semi-ocean front (just one home back from the beach) from the beach in Duck. It is only 100 steps from the driveway to the dune (OK...I have long legs, so it may take you 125!!). We are only a 10 min. walk to the cozy village of Duck, Outer Banks North Carolina, right opposite Duck Donuts! Our cavernous ocean side outdoor decks and seating, the tiki bar and pool entertaining area around our huge in-ground pool, coupled with our sizable lot and semi-ocean front location, makes this one of the nicest homes in Duck.

Inside our home we have three levels. The ground level has a Twin/twin bedroom, bath and TV room with glass sliding doors that open to the swimming pool entertaining area with tiki bar, hot tub, outdoor shower, roomy pool deck, and covered porch seating. The laundry area with full sized washer and dryer are also located on the ground level.

The mid-level area has our completely remodeled kitchen with all new appliances, living room with new couch and matching chairs with huge flat-screen, full sized tv. Our dining room seats 10. Bedrooms on this level are a queen bedroom with private bath and one King bedroom with hall bath. The top level has a loft reading/office open area overlooking the lower living room/dining area with glass sliders leading out to our top deck with spectacular vistas of the ocean, sunrises and pretty sunsets. There is one king bedroom with private bath and one queen bedroom with hall bath.

Note: No elevator. Stairs to main living area and to second story bedrooms. Linens and towels are NOT supplied in our rental, but can be rented by guests directly with a linen rental company to help guests keep their costs down. Or guests may bring their own linens and towels. Pillows, blankets and quilts are supplied.

Conveniences include: private pool (not heated- open May to mid-October only) bar area by pool, hot tub by pool (available year round), outside shower, cable TV, complimentary WiFi, DVD player, dishwasher, prepare top stove, oven, charcoal Bar-B-Que grilling, washer and dryer, decks with deck furnishings, pool chairs/furnishings, parking for four cars.

The village of Duck is quaint, gorgeous and welcoming with excellent local unique stores, cozy cafes, grocery stores, delicious eateries and water sports entertainment. Duck also has a unique sound side coastal boardwalk that provides great bird watching over the Sound and elegant sunset vistas, dining, shopping, and dog-walking. Kayakers float by adding to the scenery. Great for families and couples who wish to walk around Duck after a magnificant day on the beach.

For car trips and sight seeing during rainy days, you are spoiled for choice: lighthouses, shopping, and a must visit to Jockey's Ridge, the east coast's biggest sand dune and site of the Wright brothers first flight! Visit the Wright Brothers national monument and museum close by and learn about our country's aviation history and first flight. Head north to Corolla for tours to visit the wild banker ponies, protected and wild. Year round the town of Duck is full of phenomenal things to see, places to shop, eat, and savor beach time.
