Splash of Lime Carova is a remote beach hideaway, reached by 9 miles of beach driving after the pavement ends in Corolla - part of the adventure and fun. Wild horses roam freely and are known to visit the property. Spend your days calming on the porch with ocean vistas, walking the shoreline in search of ocean treasures, or loading your beach gear and drive straight down to the best spot on the sand. A 4WD car is required for your trip to Splash of Lime.

Where You'll Stay:
Main Level - offers an open concept great room with dining and a entirely equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms - one with a king bed and full private bath (walk-in shower) and the other bedroom provides two double beds. There is a full bath in the hallway for guests in the double room, plus the laundry room is available for use during your stay. Guest max. occupancy is 10.

Level 2 - offers two bedrooms - one king room with full private bath and another room with a king plus two single beds. There is also another full bath in the hallway on this level.

Outdoors:
The rear deck is off the kitchen and is ideal for sunsets and overlooks the pool. The pool is open mid-April through mid-October. The pool will be open May-September, $300 heating fee per stay & available by request only. Ground-level patio below the home provides magnificent space for the hot tub, outdoor shower, charcoal BBQ grille, hammocks, hanging daybed, corn hole, picnic table with plenty of space for gathering and games.

4x4 Access:
Reaching Carova is part of the adventure - the home is accessed by driving about 9 miles on the beach sand. A properly equipped 4WD car is required. 2WD or standard AWD cars cannot make the trip and may become stuck, which can result in towing charges. If anyone in your group won’t have a 4WD car, we’re happy to share close by paved parking options so you can ride out together. Once at the home, plan for about a 30-min. drive to grocery stores, eateries, and shopping. We are located in the Northern OBX of NC. Norfolk, VA is the closest airport, roughly 108 miles by car. Map view shows 2 miles to VA border, but the property is only accessible via Rt 12N.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome! Pet fee is $250.

Wild Horse Sightings:
The famed Corolla wild horses roam freely through Carova and are often seen near the home and on the beach - a memorable part of staying here!

Technical:
Wi-Fi is available on every level, with a Intelligent TV in the great room and each bedroom. A Bluetooth speaker is supplied on the main level for your use. Reliable cell service is available via a close by cell tower at the Carova Fire Station.
