The Space:

This one-of-a-kind queen bedroom apartment, offers a entirely equipped kitchen, a roomy living room, and spectacular 2nd story porch vistas. Located on the 2nd story, the apartment is accessible by spiral stairs on back of the home. One can appreciate both front and back porch seating. It’s luxuriously outfitted with bespoke furnishing. The kitchen is a timeless centerpiece, featuring a timeless La Cornue gas oven and cooktop from Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône, France, complemented by a whisper-peaceful, American-made Vent-A-Hood. Guests are invited to celebrate Old World culinary traditions using top-of-the-line All-Clad cookware and glassware. Custom cabinetry, the kitchen island, and soaring eight-foot barn doors are handcrafted on-site from reclaimed heart pine, sourced during the home’s renovations. Entertainment is seemlessly modern with a Samsung 4k Intelligent T.V., offering complimentary access to Youtube TV, Netflix, Amazon, and Prime Video. This one queen bedroom suite is designed for rest, offering sound machines, surrounded by cypress shiplap walls and centuries-old heart pine—much of it dating back to the early 1600’s. The bathrooms are masterful blends of history and luxury, tiled with original repurposed Vermont slate dating to 1851, when the home was constructed by shipwrights. Salvaged standing-seam tin from the original front porch roof forms a striking backsplash behind the hand-hammered, nickel-plated vessel sink. A period-inspired water closet sourced from Kent, England complete the Old World aesthetic. Outdoors, guests can embrace the Charleston tradition: calming on the porch and appreciating the coastal breeze. The location is attractively suited for walking, but Uber and Lyft are also readily available.

Interaction with Guests:

We are three blocks from King Street, right in the middle of all Charlestonian activity. Incredible eateries such as Southbound, Verns, 167 Raw, Malagon, Indaco, and Azur. Great places to have drinks are even closer at places like Felix, Stars, Babas, and Prohibition. There are also great niche eateries closer than King Street, such as coastal Italian at Allora or creative Indian at Rivayat. If you want the full Charleston experience, a walking tour or carriage tour is a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter daily and you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started.
