THE SPACE
Exposed beams, juniper paneling and reclaimed heart pine floors create a warm and comfortable ambiance in this comfortably furnished OBX bungalow just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. Gus Kahn got it right when he penned, "Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning!" You're going to appreciate waking up at Murph's place and heading East for a sunrise, a jolt of vitamin sea, or a long, slow walk along the shore! There’s a lifeguard at the beach access on duty during summer months. Gather for family time in the airy living/dining area and adjoining kitchen containing all the amenities of home or find privacy in one of four cavernous bedrooms. Rather be outside? Savor breakfast at the family table on the screened porch or pick crabs around the picnic table on the deck. Unwind in a rocking chair or hammock with a good book. Located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills in a neighborhood mixed with visitors and residents, Murph's bungalow is conveniently located a short walk or drive to stores, grocery stores, eateries, movie theater, miniature golf, fishing pier and kids’s waterpark. Here's hoping you'll vacation at Murph's soon and will want to make it an annual event.
Appreciate a well-equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, a great room with INTERNET/TV/DVD and dining room with seating for 8. The roomy screened porch with a table seating 10 is ideal for outside meals! There’s no need to bring bottled water as the bungalow has a reverse osmosis system that provides the refrigerator’s ice and water plus a water filtration system that offers filtered water throughout the property. There are 4 bedrooms—BR #1 Q, BR #2 Q, BR #3 Pyramid (S over F with trundle), BR #4 California K. Each bedroom has an en suite half bath (basin and toilet). There are two showers with adjoining changing areas--one inside and the other enclosed outside the bungalow. An additional area behind the outside shower has a washer and dryer and storage containing beach chairs and cart, cornhole, etc. Four clothes lines and a fish cleaning bench are also available. All outside lighting is wildlife friendly and should be used only when needed and not left on overnight. Inside switches are labeled with green turtles. A natural gas grille and prep table complete the outside amenities.

RENTAL RULES
1. The bungalow is privately owned; the Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all Guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
2. Keep the property and all furnishings clean and in good order. If a spill occurs, use only a soft dry cloth and/or Squeaky according to directions included by floor contractor. Use only nylon broom and/or vacuum on wood floors. Do not use antibacterial bleach or products containing bleach inside the bungalow. PLEASE DO NOT use spray suntan lotion or lotion that drips in the bungalow or shed or on the porch or decks.
3. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
4. So as not to disturb neighbors, please avoid loud conversation, music, and noise outside bungalow especially at nighttime.
5. PARKING: Parking is limited to four (4) car(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking area only. Parking on the street or in the yard is not allowed. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing costs are the sole responsibility of the car owner.
6. People other than those in the Guest event set forth above may not stay overnight in the bungalow. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
7. Smoking and vaping are allowed outside only; ash trays or buckets should be used and left clean.
8. Please do not take any bungalow linens to the beach. Use blankets and quilts on the beds only.
9. FIREPLACE: The fireplace is not to be used without orientation and written permission from the Homeowner.
10. WATER and SEPTIC: The bungalow is served by a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it is susceptible to clogging if improper material is flushed. Kindly DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products or other materials should be flushed at any time. The Guest is responsible for the cost of pumping the septic tank necessitated by failure to comply with these guidelines.
11. STORMS Guests are required to leave the premises as soon as possible if state or local authorities order a mandatory evacuation. In case of this eventuality, guests are advised to purchase traveler insurance.
12. All outside lighting is wildlife friendly and should be used only when needed and not left on overnight.

Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Outer Banks Mall and Outlets Nags Head. Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Stop-N-Shop Beach Shop are also worth visiting.
