Located only mins. away from Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the sound front Whalehead Club, you'll have no shortage of things to do on the Outer Banks during your week-long vacation. In the same Historic Corolla Park area, you can hop right over to the new Currituck Maritime Museum. The museum just opened in 2021 and is filled with elegant, entirely-restored historic boats and the rich history associated with them. You can also tour other exhibits offered by the museum on lighthouses, fishing, lifesaving stations, and weather. After you've had your fill of the Currituck Maritime Museum, take the kiddos over to the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. Here, everybody can learn about all the waterfowl and other wildlife of the estuarine habitat in the Currituck Sound!
