Back at the home, the top level consists of an open-concept great room with vaulted ceilings, wood floors, and striking vistas of the Pamlico Sound. The chef in your group will savor the refreshed kitchen boasting granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and an island with bar seating. The first ensuite is conveniently located just off the living area and features a queen bed, constructed-in workspace, and private bath. The second ensuite is located on the mid-level, along with two more bedrooms that share a cavernous Jack-and-Jill bath with double vanity.

Located in Salvo where the beaches are wide and uncrowded, Wanderlust Shores is in a slower-paced, laid-back area while still being just a short drive away from shopping, dining and outdoor activities. A mile south you'll find the trendy Salvo Day Use Area, where you can experience the other side of the island. Maintained by the National Park Service, this family-friendly soundside beach includes a picnic area and restroom facilities. It's the ideal place for launching kayaks, kiteboards and SUP's. For more adventure, take a short drive south to Cape Hatteras where you can climb the lighthouse, go driving on the beach, or hop on a ferry to Ocracoke.
