Constructed in the 1940s, this unique barn rental is near the Croatan National Forest and provides guests access to the Neuse River. It is a calming glamping hideaway with all the amenities of home. The rustic ambiance is complemented by antique furnishings and nostalgic decor items.

Cooks will savor a well-supplied kitchen with a variety of dishes, cookware, silverware, basic pantry items, and a coffee bar. There is a grille for guests to use - no charge. Guests are asked to refill the LP tank as needed.

To enhance guests' stays, this property has memory foam beds, linens, pillows, towels, and more. This accommodation includes two bedrooms, each with a double bed. An overhead loft has two additional-long twin beds. The great room, two bedrooms, and bathroom are all located on the second floor. The loft is our third level, which is accessed by ship stairs (very steep).

This Barn is set with all the items guests will need for a nighttime or an extended visit. This includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and toys. A washer and dryer are available on site for guests' use. A Rinnai water heater provides ample hot water.

The Barn has TWO regular parking spaces. Guests with upsized cars should inquire about space availability prior to booking to ensure there is sufficient space.

About the Area

Located in New Bern, this vacation home is in the city center and on a river. New Bern Civic Theatre and B'nai Sholem Temple are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Latham-Whitehurst Nature Park and Union Point Park. Sailing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby.
