The Shore House 2BR/2BA Ocean side cottage-New to VRBO but hosting for years! - Vacation rental home in Rodanthe, NC

Welcome to The Shore House- a cavernous, ocean side, 2 bedroom bungalow in Salvo, NC that’s just a leisurely 5 min. walk from the beach. Come hear the waves from the screened-in porch as you appreciate quality time with family and friends!
This adorable bungalow has 2 bedrooms with attached private balconies, a ladder-accessible loft, entirely equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 full baths, laundry, and a roomy outdoor shower. Sat- Sat only during summer rental season. (June to mid-Aug).

The space

Main level bedroom has a queen bed-- room leads to a balcony with outdoor seating.

Upstairs bedroom has a king bed. Queen bed and twin bed are also in this room and are accessible via ladder steps to the loft-- kids LOVE this area and it is what we hear most about every year! This bedroom also leads to a balcony with outdoor seating.

There is a handsome screened-in porch off of the living room as well as an additional room downstairs under the home with space for storage and an additional refrigerator for beverages and leftovers.

Guest access
There is a modest owner's closet that is locked. The rest of the home is open for usage.

Other things to note
One bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth per guest.
Bed linens supplied and beds made prior to arrival.
Full use of beach chairs, beach toys, and body boards.
Please bring your beach towels/ umbrellas from home

Ideal, calming family vacation. Our kids had a
blast appreciating the loft bedroom setup and we appreciated
each having our private balconies. The outdoor
shower is exceptional after a long, hot, sandy day
Oceanside. We adored visiting the soundside at the
Salvo Day Use area. Mirros was a delicious local spot
with great meals. We appreciated the Waves coffee shop
and tried many specialty drinks low tide, nor Easter,
nights at Rodanthe, mermaid matcha and more and
the staff was super friendly. The neighborhood
location was so peaceful, calm and calming. We adored
walking the beach at nighttime admiring the starry skies.
Ryan and Krista were proactive in communicating
with clear instructions and The Shore House is even
more spectacular than I imagined. We would adore to
come back for 2 weeks next time to make even more
family memories :)

We had an absolute blast at the Shore House. The
home is comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The
neighborhood is peaceful and peaceful - ideal for our
1 year old and two dogs. We appreciated walking in the
neighborhood, surfing the world class waves, and
eating at Waves Market. Finally, when you book this
place, take Ryan and Krista's recommendation to
spend a day off the beach and on the sound side at
the Salvo Day Use Area. We have been visiting
on OBX for years and I can't believe we had not done
it prior to this past week. Shallow, warm water
without waves and the most impressive sunset I've
ever seen. Wow, what a great week! Thank you, we
will DEFINITELY be back.

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and the
Shore Cottage was the ideal spot for us and our
two dogs! Simple walk to the beach and everything you
could possibly need once you get down there in
terms of beach toys. We adored all the different
spaces in the home, especially the screened-in
porch! The upper deck was ideal for stargazing,
and the space would be great for one family or two
smaller families. My inner kid appreciated the loft! Krista
and Ryan were excellent hosts and supplied great
recommendations for the area. We hope to visit
again next year!

We had an striking stay at the Shore House. The
location is extraordinary. We were able to pull a wagon
from the home with all of our beach things and it
only took about 5 mins. and that was with 2 kids.
The home is adorable, too. Each bedroom has it's
own private balcony, but the sunroom is where we
spent the majority of our time. My kids appreciated the
upstairs bedroom with the loft beds.

This was one of the best rental homes we've ever
stayed in- really. Krista and Ryan's home was exactly
as described, painless to check into, so clean upon
arrival, and supplied well. Communication was
superb, and proactive. We received
recommendations for things to do on a rainy day
that morning, which was so kind and helpful. You can
hardly beat the location, a fast walk to the most
ideal beach! Lots of fun eateries close by, stores,
and attractions up and down NC12. The parents and
the tween/teen all enjoyed our week immensely.
Thank you for sharing your home with us! The Outer
Banks very quickly made its way into our hearts after
our stay here.
