The Space:

The Otter House is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath bungalow with a beachy vibe and a captivating view of Blue Heron Lake. Spotting gators sunbathing on the banks, mullet jumping, and the ever-changing parade of birds provides Lowcountry casual entertainment all day. The sizable rear deck is the ideal place to hang out, boasting something for everybody with a raised outdoor lounge, a 6-person dining table, and a bar top offering front row vistas of the lake and deer that frequently pass through the back yard.



Every detail was carefully considered during a full remodel finished in 2023. Inside you can chef it up in the gourmet kitchen with vistas of the lake or lounge on the comfortable couch. When the day is done, retire to one of three well-appointed bedrooms. Each of the primary and guest bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, and the 4-twin bunk room has a full bath across the hall.



In the morning savor your coffee while you watch the sun rise over the lake. Take your pick for coffee: old school drip, Keurig, or Philips 3200 Series Entirely-Automatic Espresso Machine with LatteGo + Iced Coffee Maker. As the day heats up, appreciate plenty of ice from our dedicated ice machine in the walk-in pantry. Fill your cooler and your insulated cup, grab a few chairs from our beach gear stash, hop on the rental golf cart supplied, and take the 5-min. ride to the beach.



If the beach isn't your thing, you can always play pickle ball or tennis, work out in the new gym, take in any one of multiple pools on the island (adult, Olympic or Cabana Club), throw a line in at the fishing pier or Bonita Bridge, play at either of the two spectacular golf courses on the island, shoot some hoops at the club or Davis Adore Park, horseback ride at Camelot Farms, book a captained ride on the Lil' Fripper or the Fripper II, rent your own boat for the day, or hop on one of the bicycles in our stash and go for a ride on the bicycle path. How ever you spend your day, we hope you relax and enjoy this place as much as we have.



*Note with gators in the water, it isn't safe to swim, boat or fish in Blue Heron Lake. No worries, there are plenty of other places on the island to do those things!



During your stay, take advantage of the included 4-seat golf cart, your ticket to exploring all that Fripp Island has to offer. These cards are required for access to all resort amenities including eateries and bars, pools (opened year-round), golf, pickleball, tennis, exercise center, and more. Guest cards offer exclusive access to discounted prices on golf and tennis.



Your unit is outfitted with a starter set of essentials like toilet paper and paper towels. Springtide Market & Deli (located at the front of the island near the guard gate) stocks all essentials needed for a longer stay as well as groceries, grab-and-go, liquor, beach accessories, and much more!
