The Space:
Salty & Suite was designed for the trip where you actually slow down. The backyard is the centerpiece — a barrel sauna, hot tub, fire pit, and swing bed, all set against bay vistas that catch the breeze off the sound. In the summer, it's a full outdoor living room. In September and October, when the hordes are gone and the air turns crisp, it's something else entirely. There's nothing rather like stepping out of the sauna into cool fall air with a hot tub waiting and zero competition for beach parking.
Inside, the three-level layout gives everybody their own space without anyone feeling cut off. Two kings, two queens, and a twin room means this works equally well for a family with kids, a group of couples, or a mix of both. The kitchen is completely supplied — not just the basics, but a mixer, blender, coffee maker, and everything you'd need to prepare real meals.
The location is one of the quieter ones on the OBX. One block to Hayman Park, two mins. to the bayfront gazebo and flex path, 10-min. walk to Front Porch Cafe for coffee, and a short drive to the beach. If you're bringing a dog, this is the setup: a big backyard, peaceful residential streets, and no busy roads between you and the park.

The Neighborhood:
Quiet neighborhood loaded with great amenities for families. Take a fast walk to Hayman Park — 1 block down a peaceful residential street with no busy roads to cross. Take a left out of the driveway to the bayfront gazebo and flex path, and catch the sunsets (2-min. walk). In the fall, this stretch of KDH is calming, uncrowded, and one of the best-kept secrets on the Outer Banks. This home sits in a community with full-time owners. Please be mindful of noise.
Getting Around:
Norfolk International Airport is about 1.5 hours away. You can rent a car, pre-order a shuttle van, or rent a car from Turo. If you need help booking a car or driver, please let us know.
