We can't wait to host you in our delightful guest bungalow. Unwind on the calming 1000 square foot screened-in porch overlooking the mouth of pretty Lucy Creek and the St Helena Sound. Appreciate charming sunrise vistas, enchanting birdsong, dolphin, loggerhead turtle and bird watching amongst the solitude of our peaceful little country road. The bungalow is located among giant live oaks at the front of our 5-acre property at the relaxing northern end of Lady's Island, and yet you are 10 mins. from the best groceries in the area and fifteen mins. from historic downtown Beaufort.
Savor impressive Hunting Island State Park with our complementary park pass, and you'll have a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and towels so you don't have to bring your own. We also provide bicycles, so ride around the neighborhood and over to neighboring Coosaw Island to discover dirt roads, marshes, and an archaic Indian triple shell circle-one of only three on the East Coast.
The open floor plan of the bungalow is cavernous and flooded with light, the kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to whip up marvelous meals. We also offer a gas grille, and are happy to set up a fire in our fire pit. The bedroom features a opulent California king bed and luxury organic linens for a exceptional nighttime's sleep. The twin trundle bed in the main living space is very comfortable and sleeps one. Our wifi is fast, our ac is cold, and we have a gas fire log in the fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. We have a washer and dryer and provide soaps, detergents, etc. We have internet TV, so bring your streaming information to savor your favorite shows.
There is a designated studio office space we are happy to provide an easel if you want to bring your painting and drawing supplies-be warned: creativity is awakened here!
We are pet friendly, but because we live in the back of the property and have a dog and two cats, we do require that dogs be acclimated to and friendly with other family pets. Please note that this is not a fenced in property, and while our road is very peaceful, we ask that guest dogs be on leashes when outdoors, and we always keep our dog on leash when we are hosting dogs owners. The pet deposit goes to additional cleaning protocol and is non-returnable. We have parking for a boat if you would like to bring one, and a double kayak if you would like to use one.
