This unique building is known for its interesting history as the headquarters of James Mcteer "The Vodoo Sherriff" and lies in the heart of the historic commercial district of Beaufort, Located steps from Bay St. known for its stores, stores, art galleries and beautiful eateries. The loft is above Sweetgrass Pantry and Provision where you can buy fresh bakery items as well as craft beer, wine, snacks, etc. The exterior stairs lead you to a welcome getaway that makes ‘Oyster Bed’s’ individuality shine. You are also located one block from the spectacular Waterfront Park, and a short walk to historic Old Point neighborhood to see the pretty antebellum homes. The beach at Hunting Island State Park is about a 15-min. drive away.
Oyster Bed is a completely furnished apartment which includes a bedroom with queen bed, bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a refrigerator/freezer, coffee-maker, microwave, silverware/dinnerware, and basic kitchen goods. There is also a separate living room with a queen sized pull out leather couch bed with an additional half bathroom making the sleeping capacity 4 people.
