Please note that the home is a duplex and there is a separate second unit above the garage that has it's own entrance that is used sparingly by the homeowner when in town. There are no interior spaces or entrances shared.
The garage itself is used for homeowner storage and is
off-limits to guests.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither event will have further liability regarding your Reservation.
Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb's insurance or other options are recommended.
INSECTS
As Charleston is located in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.

NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION
The home is located in Lighthouse Point on James Island, about halfway between Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. It is considered a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood known for its safe, peaceful streets.
GETTING AROUND
To completely take advantage of all that Charleston has to offer, guests will want to have their own car, as public transportation in the area is not very convenient.
Uber/Lyft operate throughout the Charleston area if you choose to leave your car parked.
HOME RULES
- Kindly honor our neighbors by maintaining noise levels at a considerate volume with peaceful hours observed between 10pm-7am
-Before bringing beach items indoors, we kindly ask that you remove any sand from towels, chairs, etc.
-Please limit the number of cars on the property to two at any given time.
-For food preparation, we kindly request that you utilize cutting boards supplied rather than cutting directly on the kitchen counter.
-Remember to switch off lights when not in use or when you're away from home.
- To maintain cleanliness, we have a strict policy against glitter or confetti indoors or outdoors. Guests may incur fines for violations.
- To preserve the integrity of our walls and ceiling, we ask that you refrain from nailing or taping anything onto them.
- Prior approval is required before inviting additional guests who are not listed on the reservation to visit the property.
