The long time home of an old Ocracoke family, who still owns the property, CanalHouse sits on a canal which leads to Oyster Creek and Pamlico Sound through a beautiful salt water marsh. The sizable back yard includes many live oak, bald cypress, and cedar trees. Savor the exceptional privacy on three enormous decks, including one on the back of the home with an outdoor shower and one surrounding an outbuilding right on the canal. NO power boat access. Please do not store or charge electric bicycles on the property. CanalHouse is providing full linen service beginning January 1, 2025.

CanalHouse received a major upgrade in conjunction with post-Dorian repairs. There is plenty of room to spread out in the home and outside. The heart of the home is a huge room that combines kitchen, dining room and sitting room with TV. There is also a bigger living room with couch, chairs, and TV that adjoins a modest sunroom with writing desk. The kitchen is entirely equipped with refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher and open shelving to make everything you need simple to find. The home has central heating and AC, WiFi, washer/dryer combination, and cable TV. The smaller bathroom has a standing shower only, the bigger has a tub/shower combination. CanalHouse is limited to four people, no family pets, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are two queen beds and one single bed.
