The Space:
The building has been entirely modernized and was finished in spring 2017. Measuring just under 500 square feet, the apartment offers one bedroom featuring premium linens and a full bathroom with shower. Thoughtful care has been put into crafting a clean and efficient space that offers all of the amenities of a boutique hotel (bath products, high-end towels and linens, hair dryers, iron, wi-fi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full, chef-ready kitchen, washer/dryer, and a classic Charleston single-style porch for appreciating the nearly year-round comfortable temperatures Charleston offers its visitors.
Off-street parking for one car is supplied complimentary of charge. Any additional parking is $20 a day per car.
Guest Access:
You have access to the sizable front porch with dedicated seating for only you, rear porch, and patio with big Green Egg charcoal grille, charcoal being complimentary of course.
The Neighborhood:
Once the site of colonial lumber mills, Cannonborough is now an inviting neighborhood blending modren historic and reproduction architecture. It's also located within walking distance of Upper King Street's striking eateries, stores, and bars.
Visitors can savor convenient dining options directly next door At Southbound and Ladles Soup/ Across from the apartment; indulge in the city’s most appealing bakery – Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the rental; and gab your morning coffee and bagels just down the street at Holey City Bagels! Many of the city’s most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an simple walk from the rental. O-Ku, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, Chubby Fish.
Getting Around:
The location is attractively suited for walking, but Uber and Lyft are also readily available.
Other Things to Note:
We are three blocks from King Street. Cannon Street dead ends into King where you would be right in the middle of all the activity - many nice eateries such as The Darling, the Grocery, Ordinary, Endaco, good places to have drinks like Stars, the Belmont, Midtown, Prohibition. There are also great niche eateries closer than King Street. Pick the experience - fine dining to casual outdoor dining, it is here. You could look up Hominy Grille, Chez Nous, Trattoria Lucca, Fuel, Goulette. Since Cannon Street (and Spring Street) are the only legal areas in the city to host short term units in Charleston, you will be in good company here.
If you want the full Charleston experience you need to sign up for a walking tour or carriage tour, a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter multiple times daily so that you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started.
Interaction with Guests:
We are available for questions and we're glad to assist in any way we can.
