3 BR/2 Bath Historic District~ 7 Bl to Downtown~20 mins to BEACH/Pass INCL - Vacation rental home in Beaufort, SC

The Sunshine Cottage was constructed in 1897 and is located in the historic district of Beaufort, close to downtown and Bay Street. Totally refreshed while keeping the low country appeal; vaulted ceiling in the living room, makes a cavernous and airy gathering area. Open concept dining room and kitchen off of the living room is at the front of the home with 3 bedrooms tucked off a central hallway towards the back of the home making for a peaceful respite.

The MBR has a queen bed with top of the line bed with hotel quality sheets and duvet. Side tables and a full dresser/mirror and a sizable closet. The master en-suite has been completely updated with a tiled floor and shower as well as a pocket door for privacy.

The 2nd bedroom is at the very back of the home and has a full size bed, dresser, closet and side tables. While the 3rd bedroom is a combination space of twin couch bed, Roku TV and dedicated work space with a desk and ergonomic desk chair. All bedrooms have Hunter fans for comfortable sleeping and sound machines. The hall bathroom has a tiled shower/tub combo with plenty of light streaming in.

Off the back hall is a door to the enormous paver patio with an umbrella/table and chairs for outdoor dining, a weber style grille and a fire pit and chairs for cooler weather fires. Two adirondack chairs with a side table complete seating for 6 on the patio. The bungalow has plenty of street parking; the neighbors leave the space directly in front of the bungalow for guest use.

Hunting Island is a 20 min. drive and features an extraordinary state park beach; we provide a state park beach pass for guest use. We supply 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs for your use; guests must bring their own beach towels and other beach gear. Walking downtown is a 10 min. walk; slower if you pause to take in the pretty bay and the historic homes along the walk.

The bungalow is well appointed for short or longer stays since this is our families’ home away from home and we mean for it to be yours as well. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare including oils, spices etc. Coffee and a drip coffee maker is supplied. There’s a coffee grinder and french press as well. Gas stove, dishwasher and a huge refrigerator round out the galley style kitchen. We provide towels, linens, additional pillows and blankets for our guests.

We have 2 Intelligent TVs/ROKU; one in the living room and 1 in the sitting room/3rd bedroom w/ couch bed (twin). You can comfortably stream your Netflix movies using your login as well as other apps. We provide HULU, MAX,and, Paramount+. We ask that guests do NOT sign out of the supplied streaming services..

The bungalow has a wide porch with rocking chairs and side tables for calming and reading with a huge potted palm, camellias and azaleas .

PLEASE NOTE: Any violation of home rules, including but not limited to unauthorized guests, unauthorized family pets or animals, smoking including vaping indoors, events or large gatherings as well as use of premises for filming will be grounds for immediate cancellation and removal from the property. Though we live in Hendersonville, NC, our local property manager is available during your stay and we are just a call or text away.
