description: Looking for a fun camp for your kids this summer? Get them outside and into the water with Safari Camp! Learn to SUP and kayak on the Folly River, alongside bottlenose dolphins and beautiful birds. Instructors cover SUP ground school and in-water paddling techniques while paddling the flatwater on the Folly River adjacent to our shop. They will introduce new topics throughout the week, including wind, ocean, river conditions, and water safety.
All participants must be able to swim. All our instructors are professionally trained. We maintain a 5:1 ratio for students to instructors. All instructors have educational experience in Marine Science and Ecology of the Lowcountry.

Gratuity: Summer Camp Guides love what they do, and it shows on every tour. Tips in cash, credit, or Venmo are welcomed.
itinerary: 1. Arrive 15 minutes before Camp
2. Check in with office staff
2. Get ready to SUP: Use the changing room, restroom, and put your personal gear in our cubbies, fill your water bottle, put sunblock
3. Meet your Guide in the backyard to receive a PFD (lifejacket), Paddle and put your water bottle in the cooler.
4. Head down to the waters edge for safety first start and basic instruction or "Ground School"
5. Launch into the Folly River alongside your guides
6. Practice your new SUP skills near the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins.
7. Take a water break at the half way point in the river
9. Your Guide will give an eco talk about the amazing dolphins feeding technique "Strand Feeding" and other wildlife within the ecosystem
8. At low tide, we visit a private beach and go for a swim
9. A group photo will be taken at the end of the tour and posted on our social media pages
10. Refill your water back at our shop
check_in_details: 1. Fill out your online waiver before you arrive to save some time at check-in and paper. Paper copies are available at the office.
2. Arrive at SUP Safaris shop 15 minutes before the tour to allow for parking, checking into the office, and using the facilities before meeting your guide.
3. Traffic onto Folly Beach is heavy during weekends and holidays, so please leave extra time to arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts.
4. Limited parking is available next to our shop.

PARKING:
Drop Off/ 5 min Parking: We do have two designated drop-off and pick-up spots located directly in front of our shop. They can be used for 5 minutes at a time or less, so please be prepared to drop off your group before finding long term parking. When driving onto Folly our building will be on the right-hand side of the road just past the Public Boat Ramp. Please be prepared to drop off and pick up your guest in front of the building within the gravel lot after the Charleston SUP Safaris sign directly in front of our building, however, do not park in front of Folly's Best Rentals building.
Boat Ramp Location/2 HR PARKING:
When coming onto Folly Beach, the entrance to the Public Boat landing will be your immediate right-hand turn after the final Folly River bridge. If available, the best spaces to park in are immediately to your left after turning into the boat ramp. Please do not park in the trailer spaces (the long ones) at the public boat launch as they give tickets to non trailered vehicles, see pic of sign post. If the landing is full, parking is free on Folly, but there are some Rules you must know. All four tires must be off the street and going with the flow of traffic. You can park anywhere, unless there is a sign specifically stating that you cannot.
When coming on a weekend or major holiday, parking will most certainly be limited. If at all possible walk, ride a bike, or Rideshare.
