description: Did you know the Southeast is home to many different waterfowl species that come in all shapes & sizes? Unique birds like American Coots, Lesser Scaup, Common Loons, and Pied-billed Grebes all make Lake Murray their winter home to escape the frigid Northern waters during the winter months. The month of March is typically when Waterfowl Migration is underway & we'll be exploring the lake in search of the ""Odd Duck."" Aside from waterfowl, we could also see Bald Eagles, Bonaparte's Gulls, Red-breasted Mergansers, and many other Snow Birds that call Lake Murray home.

From there we will cruise out to the island with a few special stops to observe any birds & wildlife we come across. We will arrive back at the dock around 1pm.
highlights: Birdwatching on Lake Murray isn't an uncommon practice, but the time we'll be going is during waterfowl migration where a lot of species are using Lake Murray as a stopover site, including Common Loons.
