This is a TWO afternoon class to allow drying between layers.
Some of the most luminous, other worldly effects come not from control but from surrender. In this immersive, two afternoon class, you will discover what happens when fluid paint meets the raw unprimed canvas. Color blooms, edges soften and layers of transparency emerge.
Without a primer barrier, paint is absorbed directly into the weave, staining it with soft halos. You will learn how to work with this unpredictable beauty.
You will be able to use this technique in two distinct ways - as a complete finished painting or as a powerful underpainting that sets a glowing, textured stage for subsequent layers.
Practice materials and a professional, gallery wrapped, unprimed and stretched canvas will be provided.
