Car or Rental Car: The easiest way to get around. Most attractions—downtown Charleston, Folly Beach, and local eateries—are 10–15 mins. away. Parking is generally easy on James Island and available in most downtown garages.
Uber & Lyft: Readily available and usually fast. A ride to downtown averages about 10 mins., and Folly Beach is around 12–15 mins..
Downtown Charleston: Only a short drive over the James Island Connector. Once downtown, walking is the best way to discover historic streets, eateries, and stores.
Folly Beach: Head straight down Folly Road—no turns—until you reach the beachfront. Parking is available in paid tons and along side streets (follow posted signs).
