Free Tourism Event Listing Editorial PoliciesCoastalGuide does not list every performance date of a local theater group, every individual gallery show, or every museum program. We look for stable, repeating annual events --particularly those that have entered their 3rd season. Once set up on our system, the description and link to your site repeats every year unless edited, requiring only minor maintenace for the date change.
For those organizations hosting sub-events, we try to craft general calendar entries wherever possible and link directly to the event HOST's web calendar so that our readers can make their plans with information straight from the source.
Of course, there are bound to be some one-time mega-events that require a special listing and we will do our best to accommodate those. An example would be the Pepsi Tall Ships event in Beaufort.
If you do host sub-events we will be happy to work with you any way we can. Our suggestion would be to craft a generic, "evergreen" paragraph or two about your programs and email us. Be sure to let us know if there are any months that do NOT apply. (You might always be closed the month of January, etc.)
OR if you'd like to write several seasonal blurbs, we can assign them to run specific months. If you'd like to go that route, please use the form linked below.
If you would like more control of the format such as special calendar placement and including a picture or logo, please consider Advertising Your Event.
• There must be a Web page that provides up-to-date event information.
• The event must be physically located within our market area.
You will be asked to provide both a nearby city or town and the county where the event is located. These will be verified by our editor before the listing process begins. The city or town should match with the county --all easy information for a local event promoter to provide.
If you are representing a bonafide event located in our area, click here for the form.
